Uganda martyrs trail helps to remind us of the times in 1886, when thirty-two young men were burned to death at Namugongo for their refusal to renounce Christianity. The martyrs trail will wind its way through the various sites where the Uganda martyrs were killed/ tortured in the 1880s among which is the place where Bishop Hannington James remains were buried. Lives of 22 Catholics martyrs are kept. Head to Ntinda/Naguru where you will stop over for lunch at the capital palace or Arch apartments. After lunch take on a walking safari through the trails of the martyrs up to Namogongo shrine. The spot where in 1886 more Christians where burnt alive. Spice up the day with a visit to Ndeere centre (optional).
